Adam Cragg is a cybersecurity venture capitalist and startup advisor based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Adam has dedicated his career to reducing barriers for innovators and fostering a thriving ecosystem for startups.

As the co-founder and partner at Osney Capital, a venture capital firm exclusively focused on cybersecurity, Adam invests in Seed and Series A startups. Osney Capital supports early-stage companies with investments ranging from £250,000 to £2,500,000.

He has served in various leadership roles at The University of Calgary and Innovate Calgary, including as Executive Director and Advisor to the President. In these roles, he worked to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial success, particularly through his work with the University of Calgary’s innovation initiatives.

His previous experience includes a significant tenure at Quake Capital Partners, where he served as a Founding Partner. During his time at Quake, the firm was recognized as one of the top 10 venture capital firms globally by Forbes and was the second-highest investor in female-founded companies, according to CrunchBase.

At the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, Adam served as Chief of Staff, where he built programs to enhance the entrepreneurial capacities of students and corporate innovation groups. At NYU Leslie eLab, Adam was the Founding Manager and developed and delivered hundreds of hours of entrepreneurial training. This lab became a cornerstone of the NYU community, offering a collaborative space for students, faculty, and alumni to cultivate entrepreneurial skills.

Adam’s academic background includes, holding an MBA from the University of Oxford, a BA in Asian Studies from The University of British Columbia, and is undergoing an MSc in Cyber Security from Royal Holloway. His educational and professional journey reflects his commitment to innovation, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship.
